I began work as a Private Practitioner upon graduation. In September 2011 I was hired as a Behavior Specialist at Hartford Sylvia Encinas Elementary School in Chandler, AZ. There I provided services for troubled/underprivileged youth, wrote treatment plans for students in and out of the classroom, collaborated services with CPS, and provided education to the school personnel regarding healthy/safe behavior practices. I wrote curriculum and facilitated the group ‘Healthy Strategies’ for students with special emotional needs. I also ran the 21st Century afterschool program. During this time my colleagues and I co-authored 'Why Teens Fail - What To Fix.' My interest continued to grow in relation to helping adolescents manage distressing circumstances of life. Over the years I have streamlined my practice to focus efforts on teens, couples, addiction and trauma. I also hold regular Trauma Release Exercise classes.

The Lack of Healthy Connection seems to be the common thread in so many of the lives of those I work with. I present around the country on various topics. This pulls a passionate part of me up to the surface. I feel grateful to be in collaboration with so many wonderful people.

I enjoy my work. It pushes me.

I love music. I miss playing live music… but I am thoroughly enjoying watching my son and his band rock out.

My wife and I have been married nearly 20 years. We have one 16 year old son… and a baby girl on the way. Surprise! I consider myself blessed beyond measure.
